Teibel's Restaurant is an original 1920's Indiana restaurant. Teibel's opened in Schererville, Indiana in 1929. It started out as a small higway diner with seating for 12, and it grew over the years. According to their website, they still use the same early fried chicken recipe that the Teibel family brought over from Austria.  PB's Takeout in Winston Salem, North Carolina has been there for years, although we don't know how MANY years. They have counter stool seating inside and picnic tables outside.

Zabar's began in 1934, taking up just a counter at this location, but it has expanded over the years to what it is today. It is now almost as long as a city block, and they offer everything from cheese to fish to coffee to housewares to bagels, but there is so much more! Zabar's is the kind of place that people really miss when they move away. Zabar's offers gift boxes and gift baskets so people who miss it can experience it again.
