We're not sure when The Palace Motel was built, and we don't know anything current about this motel, however, I did see an old postcard online that appeared to be from the 1960's which showed that the Palace Motel in New Bern used to have a large, fantastic roadside sign with a huge arrow which pointed to the motel (and indicated it had a restaurant too!).
