Carlson's Drive-in Restaurant in Michigan City, Indiana opened in 1955. There was originally a roller rink under a tent at this location in 1947 that served hot dogs and cold drinks. In 1955, that was torn down, and the root beer stand that you see today was built. They serve rootbeer, hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, fries, apple fritters, lemonade and more!
