Bill Spoon's Barbecue was established in Charlotte, NC by Bill Spoon in 1963. Back in those days, South Boulevard was a country road called Pineville Road. According to their website, they serve "real Eastern NC Style BBQ served with homemade vinegar based bbq sauce, mustard based coleslaw, hearty Brunswick stew, made-from-scratch hushpuppies, homemade banana pudding and the best sweet tea around." Source: spoonsbarbecue.com
