1970's

This is the original Don Cuco Mexican Restaurant. Don Cuco's was established in Toluca Lake in 1969. There are now four additional locations in Southern California.

We're not sure how long Hi-Neighbor Restaurant has been in business, but it's located in an old building with a vintage vibe inside (wood paneling, counter seating, some of the chairs are from schools, plus there are booths).

El Taco Real is an original 1970's Mexican restaurant in Hammond, Indiana. Located on Hoffman Street between Calumet and Columbia Avenues, El Taco Real opened on April Fool's Day in 1974. Click on the link to their website for more about the history, and to see the current menu.
