Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa

The Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa in Asheville, North Carolina was built in 1913 of granite stones mined from Sunset Mountain. It has 10 floors and over 500 guest rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, shopping, four restaurants, The Spa, and a golf course designed by Donald Ross. 

The Grove Park Inn made national news in April 2010 when it was announced that President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama would be staying there.

The Best Cellar Restaurant is located in Blowing Rock, North Carolina in a turn of the century building that was built as a summer cottage. The restaurant was established in 1975 at a different location - a basement on Main Street where they also sold books. That's how it got the name "The Best Cellar".

Serving lunch from May through October, and dinner year-round. A few items from their dinner menu include Roast Duckling, Grilled Rib eye, Chicken Marsala, and Mountain Trout. Please click on their website for more information.
