A Woman Cooks Inside, and a Man Cooks Outside

Men are still known as the ones who barbecue. Every Father's Day we see all sorts of grilling stuff go on sale. How did that happen that men became the barbecue gender? Women cooked over a fire for years, long before we had modern ovens in the home. But, somehow the role of outdoor cooking was given to men.  It's the only time that even the macho men types will wear an apron.
