We've heard the song all our lives. But, how DO you roast chestnuts on an open fire?

Thanks to ChefTips for creating this YouTube video, we can finally know what to look for when purchasing chestnuts, and we can finally know how to roast chestnuts on an open fire (or roast chestnuts in the oven). I've never roasted chestnuts, so this was all new to me. The soaking, the scoring, the sour cream.... who knew?

Now, how do we stop Jack Frost from nipping at our nose? Hopefully those tiny tots with glowing eyes will scare Jack away. No wonder it's so hard for them to sleep! The glowing eyes, the nose nipping, a choir singing carols, and a spy mission to see if reindeer really know how to fly!
