Visit Plymouth, Massachusetts. In Pilgrims style? No. In 50's style? Yes!

Plymouth Rock rocks! And so does this parody of a 1950's tourism film about Plymouth, Mass. It gave us many laughs.

Although you will get a kick out of how funny this is, you should still seriously consider visiting Plymouth. It will make Thanksgiving even more special to you, and you'll feel all sentimantal for the history of the United States... I promise.

My favorite place there was Plimoth Plantation (yes, it really is spelled "Plimoth"... again, I promise). It's a living history museum where you will see people in costumes pretending to be living in a recreation of a 1627 English Village. Ask them a question and they will respond in character.

I LOVE places like this. I fall for it myself, and start to believe that these people are somehow trapped in time. They dress the part, talk with the appropriate accents and language, etc.

Speaking of accents, the guy in this video did an excellent job getting that 50's narrator voice down. Thank you to sixfoot6 for uploading this video to youtube by Andie Verbance and Alyssa Gantz.

The voice is so funny

This is a great imitation of those old school movies. I know what you mean about those living history museums. I went to Colonial Williamsburg and it was like that. Also renaissance faires can be like that. It is a real hoot! I can't walk out of an old village without buying something because I feel like I am buying something from the past. Now I want some of that old ale. Peace, Sarah
