Vintage Halloween Decorations - Noisemakers and more!

I LOVE vintage Halloween decorations. So, I was happy to stumble upon this video on YouTube by timido66 of her vintage Halloween decoration collection. I love the 50's hard plastic Halloween clown guy dressed in orange. I'm not sure why he was created with the name PETE on his head, but that gives it even more vintage appeal by my standards. That little pumpkin candle was probably made by Gurley. Gurley made quite a variety of cute novelty holiday candles over the years. I LOVE the graphics on that tin litho pumpkin. It's unusual to find something like that without rust or dings. That wooden German noisemaker cat has so much charm. Weren't things made incredibly well back then? I wonder which Halloween items made today will be desirable in the future. Maybe some of the more unusual cheap, plastic items will be even more kitschy in the future and they will have kitsch appeal.

In recent years there has been an increase in decorations in stores that are supposed to have a "vintage style". However, I think they are often a completely new interpretation of vintage, because many of those items look nothing like what antique and vintage Halloween decorations actually looked like. However, the new versions of what are supposed to appear old do have a charm and beauty of their own.

I believe we had a similar

I believe we had a similar tin pumpkin when I was a little girl. I think that is the one we would put a candle inside. These old fashioned Halloween decorations are precious.
