These hips were made for rockin', and that's just what they'll do!

Earl "Snakehips" Tucker sure had a style of his own. I'm not sure where this clip came from, but it was probably filmed in the early 1930's. If "Snake Hips" had been doing those moves today rather than back then, he would have probably been an even bigger star. His moves were way ahead of their time, that's for sure. He must have had an influence on popping and locking.

I think we can see why he got the nickname "Snake Hips". Unfortunately, this talented dancer lived a very short life. He was born in 1905 and died in 1937. I am not sure of the cause of his death.
