The Richest Man In Walnut Grove - Pa Ingalls

To celebrate Father's Day, I'm giving a little tribute to the greatest TV dads - the dads who had a positive influence on TV viewers.

Charles Ingalls, played by Michael Landon, was the father on "Little House on the Prairie". Charles, otherwise known as "Pa", worked like mad to provide for his family, but he always had time at the end of the day to talk with his family at dinner. If he had any time and energy left after dinner, he would play the fiddle and his daughters would dance to his music. Pa would often make time to talk to his children to help them with their troubles. He was usually a peaceful man, but would stand up for himself, his family and his neighbors if they were being treated unkindly or unfairly. His laugh was contagious, and he wasn't afraid to cry. Pa was so real and genuine, that I couldn't help but wonder over the years if Michael Landon was just the same as Pa in real life, because he played that character so beautifully. He also directed more of the episodes than any other director.

Pa and his family never had much money, but he was indeed the richest man in Walnut Grove. You can see why if you watch the video.

Thank you to rainshadow2 for creating this sweet and touching video for YouTube. I had never heard that song "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds, but it was a beautiful choice.

Hi Mary- What a wonderful

Hi Mary- What a wonderful Father's Day tribute. I watched countless hours of Little House on the Prairie when I was a little girl. It was one show my parents didn't have to worry about.
I hope you are doing well- I'd love to get together soon. I plan on taking a trip to Raleigh to drop off some stuff for Ornamentea and I want to make time for you and Laura. Perhaps dinner or something of the like.
Have a great weekend -
Stacey
