Product Product Product

I can't take it anymore. The word "product" being used... OVERused to describe anything that goes into one's hair is driving me crazy. When do people make the personal decision to use this word instead of the word/s they used to use?

Does it happen one random morning while one is doing their hair? Do they reach for the hair spray, realize it's not there, then ask their spouse, boyfriend, roommate, whoever, "Do you know where my hairspr-- uh... PRODUCT is?"

Is it a conscious thing, the sudden change after a lifetime of calling it hairspray? Or, do they choose to use it only when talking with hair stylists... to show that they are haute hair?

MTV had a funny commercial last year about the death of the word "Bling-Bling". It's time to do it again with the word "Product" (only in the context of using it to describe every single thing that goes into one's hair).
