North Carolina - Home to the Largest Home in the United States - The Biltmore Estate

I just wrote a blog entry about this gorgeous estate, but I accidentally lost it (computer malfunction- ugh!). But really the video offers a great explanation of this grand estate anyway. I will just add this:

George Washington Vanderbilt loved the area so much that he decided to build a country home (this home) in Asheville when he was only twenty-six years old. He inherited the money, but still, can you imagine having a home like this built for you when you are only twenty-six? Or, even ninety-six? At any age, it's huge. His mansion makes a McMansion of today look like a child's playhouse in comparison.
