It's never too early to start preparing for Thanksgiving dinner. Let's start with table manners.

Do you have anxiety over which fork to use? These boys will help you out. Just remember - practice, practice, practice. Pretty Woman practiced and look where it got her in life. It lead her to a life of luxury with Edward Lewis. She almost blew it with her escargot moment, but luckily only the waiter noticed when it went flying across the room.

When you hit the big time after your success with table manners, be sure to stop back into that boutique on Rodeo Drive where the ladies snubbed you. You'll show THEM whose table manners have got it goin' on!

Thank you to 1reachme for posting this delightful vintage table manners video on YouTube.

Back again...

I was thinking about those scenes just now and found them on YouTube:

The snootiest ladies ever:

Those ladies played that snooty roll perfectly!

And now, Viviane gets to teach them a little lesson:

I still love all her clothes in this movie!

Oh my GOSH!

Laura, That's so funny that you mentioned that scene because I actually wrote about that scene in my blog and then I deleted it! No kidding!!! I shouldn't have deleted it! Darn!
That's a GREAT scene!!
I joke about the scene a lot where the women say, "We have nothing for you. Please leave!" That's what I call the kind of stores where the people who work there have a bad attitude. I call those stores the "We Have Nothing For You Please Leave" stores. :-)

Not Much to Do

Well, my thought doesn't have much to do with table manners, but your "Pretty Woman" reference made me think of my favorite scene from this movie: when Vivienne goes shopping on Rodeo Drive and the ladies refuse to help her on the first day - then, when she goes back, all dressed nice and LOADED with bags and says: "You work on commission, right?"...pause....pause...."Big mistake. Huge! I have to go shopping now.....!" Ha! Love it!
