It's a Hot Night in Alaska

As a tribute to Alaska, we have this hot number performed by Betty Grable and cast from the 1951 film, "Meet Me After the Show".

This clip starts out with something hot from our other newest state - Hawaii. As the two men sit and talk, notice what is on the table. It's a Hawaiian Hula Girl lamp - and she dances! Yes, her hips move! I know this isn't Hawaii Day for Retropolis, but I had to point that lamp out; it's a tropical treasure.

This is a song about Alaska, so of course Betty dances around a polar bear and then eventually a chorus of Eskimos join her. Speaking of hot, her leopard coat, if faux, would be a hot seller in stores today.
