How to make English tea the good old fashioned way

Little girls in America often have tea parties with miniature tea sets or even imaginary teacups and saucers. However, compared with many other countries, Americans aren't really known as tea drinkers. There are certainly Americans who drink tea regularly, and there are Americans who drink tea sometimes, but overall, Americans tend to be coffee drinkers. We just don't see little girls having "pretend coffee drinking parties" though. Maybe sitting at  a little table with paper cups in corrugated recycled cup sleeves just doesn't feel as elegant and refined to little girls.

These days people tend to use tea bags more than loose leaf tea, but if you want to drink tea the old fashioned way, this 1940's tea video will show you everything you need to know about storing tea and making tea. Keep it dry, keep it stored in an air-tight container, and do not store it near your favorite perfume unless you want to drink tea that tastes like your favorite perfume. To find out more, just watch the video. And if you find yourself imitating the accent, then we have something in common.
