I am not sure who set that standard, but I can tell you that I've never read a personal ad where a man is seeking a woman with a "perfect oval face". Nor have I seen men approach women at a bar or club to compliment them on their "beautiful ovalness". 

If you have a round face, square face, or long face, and you've been longing for that perfect oval face, or you want to enhance the ovalness of your already oval face, you could try oval face implants. If only they existed.
