Happy Birthday! HAPPY DAYS is 30 years old

Happy Days first aired on January 15, 1974. Growing up in the 70's, I thought that Happy Days was an old show - made in the 50's (I thought this about Laverne and Shirley too). I think 50's nostalgia really began in the 70's and it hasn't left since. Who doesn't love at least SOMETHING about the 50's?

 

People of my generation missed out on malt shops, but we got to enjoy the one on Happy Days - Arnold's Drive-In. We all loved the theme song (what a great way to teach kids the days of the week!).

 

Happy birthday to The Fonz, the Cunninghams, and the whole gang!  Ayyyyyyy!
