A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes - Happy 60th Birthday to this song!

A friend of mine and I love when we accidentally find great voices on YouTube, and we send a link to each other when we find a voice that we love. He sent me a link to GutterDoll138 (Amy Lou) singing "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes." What a beautiful voice she has!  Of course, I had to share this video at Retropolis because her voice has that rich vintage tone of the 1940's and 1950's, and her style suits that era perfectly too. Keep on singing, Amy Lou!

I decided to look up this song because, although I knew it was from Cinderella, I wasn't sure what year it was written.  It was written in 1950 by Mack David, Al Hoffman, and Jerry Livingston specifically for the Disney film "Cinderella". The singer in the movie was Ilene Woods, who was 21 at the time she recorded it.
