A Christmas Cookies Classic: Candy Cane Christmas Cookies Recipe

My mom used to make these yummy Candy Candy Christmas Cookies when we were little. They are so cheery and festive! Coincidentally, my mom also uses the exact same Tupperware measuring cups in harvest gold that he's using. I loved his jadeite green mixing bowl too! Baking with vintage kitchenware is much more fun!

Here's the recipe for Candy Candy Shaped Christmas Cookies:

Ingredients:

1 cup butter or 2 sticks butter or shortening
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon red food coloring

(optional)
Sprinkle cookies with colored sugar granules or crushed peppermint candies
