Christmas in 75

It's about 75 days until Christmas, so I thought you might want to visit Christmas in 1975. This vintage home movie brought back a whole rush of memories to me. I even remembered the SMELL of cardboard boxes and new toys on Christmas morning. My brother and I had an avocado green toy oven very similar to the one these kids got for Christmas. I still remember the squeak it made when it would open and shut. Kids these days have plastic kitchens, but back in our day, they were made of tin (which meant future rust, and the possibility of cutting yourself on a sharp corner). Mmmmm memories of all the fake food made in that oven!

I also had Raggedy Ann and Andy wall art, made of felt and yarn. I recognize that giraffe on wheels; I think a friend of mind had that. Was that made by Playskool? I recognize some Playskool boxes in the background. Those calico patchwork sleeping bags are SO classic 70's too.

I even love that 70's wrapping paper! And that rotating Christmas tree is a Christmas GEM!

This video makes me want to put on a pair of footie pajamas and get a good night's sleep so I can wake up to Santa's surprises. Merry Christmas 1975 everybody!
