It was 41 years ago on this date that Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee. He was only 39 years old at the time. His memory has now lived on longer than his life. He has shown people all around the world that it is great to dream big, and that changes can happen, as long as we DO something, peacefully, to make those changes happen. read more...

The last words Martin Luther King Jr. ever spoke were to ask his musician friend Ben Branch to play "Take My Hand, Precious Lord" in the meeting that night. Martin Luther King Jr. was killed shortly after, and never got to hear the song being played at the meeting. Mahalia Jackson sang it at his funeral. read more...

25 years ago: Limahl "The Never Ending Story" - 1984

This song is still gorgeous to me after 25 years, and I have never gotten tired of it. Limahl used to sing for Kajagoogoo (best known in America for their 1983 hit "Too Shy"). I love his voice, and I am happy to hear that Kajagoogoo have gotten back together and they will be reasing a new album later this year. read more...
